Ansku Kangas

Physical Therapist (PT), Vocational Qualification in Sports (LPT) Somatic Practitioner (ADV1), Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

I’ve been in the health field since 2009, when I graduated from massage therapy school. Since then I’ve continually expanded my education — studying Physical Education and Physical Therapy, and taking numerous courses and seminars across many areas of health, movement, and rehabilitation. Early in my career I concentrated on helping people reach strength and fitness goals, which eventually led me to build and run my own gym from 2014 to 2021. In 2020 I was introduced to Postural Restoration. Combined with my own health challenges, that training profoundly shifted my direction. Postural Restoration, together with Somatic Experiencing, deepened my understanding of human health and steered me toward a more holistic, person-centered perspective. That holistic view is now the foundation of my work. My varied background provides me with a unique, integrative style — I strive to see and support the whole person behind the symptom. No matter what symptom someone brings, I coach the person, not just the problem.
